In this case performing is not meant in the typical way. Normally if somebody says you have to perform this means that you have to fulfill an obligation or requirement. Performing in this case means that you can have a guideline that helps you thru life.
What does this have to do with me?
If you set goals in life then you have something to live for and you are motivated to get up every morning to go to work and to live your life. It works in a comforting way, because you don’t have the stress of the Indecisive mind. The problem of the indecisive mind is that it is time consuming.
How to set goals!
Write 5 things on paper that you would like to achieve in your life.
This can differ from an holiday to Japan to an expensive classic automobile.
After you have written them down on a piece of paper formulate them into SMART.
S pecific
M easurable
A cceptable
R ealistic
T ime bounded
The next step is to write down a time frame to have a reflection point to see if you have to adapt your situation to achieve set goals.
