About Qreer
Qreer B.V. is a European technical job board enabling companies and institutions to advertise vacancies and internships in the field of Science, Engineering & Technology all over Europe, since 2010. Within our office we shared the news about the European refugee crisis and fallowed almost every updates to the point where we felt the need to take immediate responsibility and see where we are able to help those in need. We found that among the refugees, high educated people were present. Therefore, we started this campaign called “Qreer For Refugees’’, in which Qreer together with the support of our customers help refugees find jobs and where we donate money to NGO Together for Refugees to help rebuilt houses in Lebanon.

In addition, far from having backgrounds of extreme poverty, many of the refugees inching their way through Europe studied at university or worked in good jobs before disaster hit. This campaign is targeted at companies who are open for qualifies refugees whom have a technical background and have a residence permit. Moreover, the second group we are trying to help is the local refugee. This second goal is supported by donating money to the NGO Together for Refugees, which will help rebuild homes in Lebanon.

Cooperation with NGO – Together for Refugees
Together for Refugees (TFR) is a Dutch registered NGO. What started as a spontaneous initiative to help the Syrian refugees in Istanbul, Turkey, quickly grew to working on a larger international scale. Today TFR is helping over 40 families directly with basic needs such as shelter, food, clothing and healthcare spread over different countries. The number of families in need is increasing, therefore, the NGO needs financial support to be able to support as many refugees as possible.

Together for Refugees announced that their objective is to rebuild refugee homes in Arsal, Lebanon. Most of the refugees who are there now are in very bad structured tents which are too hot in summers and leak in winters.

Together for Refugees is planning to build new houses that will be provided with electricity, heating and sanitation. With every 12 vacancies posted on Qreer.com, one house can be build and with this help a whole family can live comfortably in a well-built/well-structured house including furniture, blankets as well as food packages for the first two months of their stay. How great would it be as a donator to be able to say that you have helped building a house and new home for a refugee in Lebanon? Together For Refugees and Qreer are certainly very excited about this campaign and project, and we hope that our customers share this thought as well.

How to employ a refugee? And what paperwork needs to be inhered?

The following applies to rules and regulations within the Netherlands. After the IND has granted the refugee asylum, the IND will issue a temporary residence permit. In principle, this residence permit is valid for five years. This status entitles to perform paid work. On the residence document you will see a refugees indication of work status (arbeidsmarktaantekening). This status of employment tells you that someone is allowed to work within the Netherlands without the need for a work permit (TWV).

How can you help:
As part of this campaign Qreer wants to offer refugees job opportunities, meaning that companies can decide if they are willing to open up their vacancy for refugees (discount). The vacancy will be posted on the job board of Qreer.com and will be assigned with a special mark which allows refugees to apply for these position. In addition, Qreer will donate an additional amount of EUR 100,- to NGO “Together For Refugees”, for every vacancy that is open for refugees
