1. What is key in the current competitive recruitment market to stay ahead of competition?
Obviously, chase after the applicants rather than wait for them to come to you. The Internet is full of websites where people share knowledge on various topics – in my mind, that’s a perfect place to find and approach a person with genuine interest in their field.
2. How do you think the recruitment market will look like in 2025?
I can only speak for the IT field, but it seems that employees’ physical location becomes less and less relevant. Even though it has always been possible for IT people to work remotely, only recently we’ve seen a massive increase in great tools that make this process much easier. So my guess is, in ten years’ time, recruiters will be very much welcoming of remote workers to the point where it will not be a disadvantage at all compared to locally based employees.
3. What technology trends do you foresee that a job board and/or recruiters could benefit from?
First thing that springs to mind are online interviews. And not just that, but a lot of services are now also offering code challenges when hiring developers, which saves enormous amount of time for recruiters filtering out potential candidates. Another thing I see is companies opening up a lot on social media and widely sharing what’s happening in their offices – I think that’s extremely attractive for applicants and I don’t feel that recruiters currently exploit that enough.
4. What are the main things (top 5) to take care of to be found on search engines?
1. Backlinks
2. Backlinks
3. Backlinks
4. Original content
5. Technical website optimization, loading speed, etc.

5. What technology does Qreer have to distinguish itself from other boards?
Qreer is very much integrated with external services, sharing content across many other platforms as well as making it easy for companies to automatically post their latest vacancies on a regular basis.
6. What are new media, networks or technologies that an applicant can use in its search for a new job?
Speaking of IT people, especially developers, I would say conventional online profiles such as LinkedIn are nowhere nearly as useful as having an account on, for example, StackOverflow or GitHub. People who constantly contribute to open source projects are every employer’s dream – they’re passionate about what they do, and the recruiter can easily “try before he buys”, in the sense that they can clearly see the quality of the written code or solution. Not to mention, applicants there can interact with people that already work at certain companies and decide if they like what the company is doing and whether they would like to join them.
7. What has been main change in the past 10 years on internet/websites?
Aside from technical and aesthetic changes on the web, I think the biggest difference is content creation having moved to the hands of regular people. We used to only read articles on few of largest news websites, now though everyone can have a platform on which they publish their content and have regular readers. Amongst other things – mobile domination, with about half of internet users now browsing on their phones.
8. How will internet and websites look like in 2050?
I think the biggest thing that is coming is IoT – Internet of Things. Phones and computers will become the minority of internet connected devices, with all the household electronics, cars and sensors taking over and interacting with each other. Websites, I expect, will be more and more replaced by smarter applications integrated with our phones and wearables.
