    3 ways to make your job application stand out

    The job hunt is a challenging moment for everyone to experience. Especially for young professionals, who are about to debut their career, for this we have prepared a few useful tips! How to increase your chances of success and stand out from the competition? You are about to find out.

    1. Be an active applicant

    9 out of 10 recruiters would confirm that they prefer active applicants, that have done their research about the company they are applying to. Not only does it make it easier for them, but it also creates the impression that you are actually eager and ambitious to find fit the job!

    The old-fashioned way of sending or uploading your CV and passively waiting is now obsolete and a new generation of candidates is needed. An innovative approach, where the hierarchy does not exist and both sides are equally responsible for the final success.

    Be present in the relevant online channels, do not be afraid to express your doubts or concerns and to initiate contact first. Be pro-active, take advantage of social media and make usage of your created network.     On average a recruiter would spend 6 to 11 seconds on looking at your CV. Yes, seconds! In the busy world of recruitment, the professionals learn how to assess a person within the blink of an eye. However, you can use some tricks to get the most out of the few seconds you have to impress them.

    On a further stage in your application, or maybe even in the beginning, a motivation letter will be requested. You can focus on several things that will definitely earn you the leading places among the applicants.

    Do your research about the company and refer to responsibilities in the job description that a quality of yours relates to. Show them how your profile will fill in a gap existing in the internal structure and show them how valuable your contribution is and why. Mention a characteristic that makes you suitable for the team and assures them you will fit in well.

    Show motivation and confidence and express your personality. Emphasize on your strengths and explain why they would benefit the organization you’re writing your application motivation for. The one thing recruiters want to know from  your motivation letter is simply a hint of your personality and of course…motivation.
